ADULT ONSET STILL DISEASE
It’s a systemic inflammatory diseases also a type of Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis characterized by frequent attack of fever on daily basis, arthritic pain and episodic rash.
The cause is unknown but there is genetic factor and infection combination exposure may play role.
SIGN AND SYMPTOM
- Fever on daily basis.
- Arthritis usually poly-articular affects knees, wrists and ankle.
- Salmon colored rash which is only visible in fair skin.
- They are mostly affecting the upper trunk and extremities
- No itchy.
- Muscle pain or myalgias.
- Enlargement of cervical gland.
- Pericardial effusion.
Blood: elevation of ESR
Elevation of CRP
Extreme elevation of ferritin level
WBC increased in level.
Liver function test: elevation of AST, ALT and LDH.
X-Ray For any changes in joint.
