The patient is a child,complaining of greenish,slimy stools containing mucous and streaks of blood.There is slight fever in the beginning with abdominal distension in the colonic area.The colour,consistency of the stool changes with the type of infection.The condition is ENTEROCOLITIS or INFLAMMATORY INFANTILE DIARRHEA
The patient is a child complaining of watery ,foul smelling stools,green in colour,containing mucous,which start suddenly but insidiously.There may be vomiting followed by dehydration,elevated temperature,prostration and collapse.The condition is EPIDEMIC DIARRHOEA
The above three condition are fairly common in children during their first one year of life.
Some of the infection are because of organisms like shiga,Flexener and Sonne and B.COLI or Staphylococci.In many epidemics,no infection can be detected,it is then treated as a viral infection.
1. Fever of 102 degree or higher
2. Belly pain
3. Blood or pus in his poop or poop tht’Skin black,white or red
6. Dry mouth
7. Acting fussy or irritable
8. Unusual drowsiness or sluggishness
-Usefull for sudden ‘green,watery,frequent stools caused due to chill or fright.
-There is suppressed perspiration
-There is unquenchable thirst and diarrhea is due to hot weather.
-Usefull for watery greenish stools smelling like rotten egg.
-Child is very irritable,uncivil and snappy
-Usefull for diarrhea accompaniedwith voilentvomiting.
-There is cold sweat ion the forehead with slightest activity.
-Usefull for pain in the stomach after food
-Usefull for tenesmus after stool with burning in the anus.
-There is sudden forcible ejectionof bilious stool,mostly in elderly and during hot weather.
